England Arrive in South Africa

England arrived in South Africa yesterday to a warm and vibrant reception. However, they were also met by a small taste of the level of security that will be present throughout the World Cup. After they landed in Johannesburg, they were escorted from their plane to the terminal building by dozens of armed police.Their team bus was then given a police escort all the way to their team base at The Royal Bafokeng Sports Campus. There was the usual media scrum at the airport and hotel, but reporters were carefully vetted by police and only accredited news organisations were allowed to attend.
