Welcome our new writers: Oliver Sparrow (World Cup & English football analyst) & Dylan Lebecki (La Liga expert)

It has been a long time coming, and we are proud to have finally added the superb La Liga & Spanish fútbol expert, Mr. Dylan Lebecki, to join the team here at AFR to share his valuable insight on arguably the best league in the world. Although of American descent, Dylan was born in Ecuador and lived there for the first 10 years of his life, gaining true expertise on the South American style of football that is quite prevalent throughout La Liga. Still deciding whether to go to university in Spain, the United States, or the United Kingdom, Dylan is spending his last few months before going off to higher education in Portugal. Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, Dylan has a true passion for the beautiful game and is an avid supporter of the Blaugrana who will be intelligently filling us all in on all the vibrant and noteworthy happenings in the legendary land of España!

The World Cup starts in just 73 days, and here at AFR we plan on becoming totally enthralled by the month-long fiesta. When I think of the World Cup, the first thing that comes to mind is passion. Well, we are proud to announce that Oliver Sparrow, a proper England supporter, will be preparing us all for the world’s biggest sporting event with top-notch articles while leading up to (as well as throughout) the tournament in South Africa. Graduating from the University of Leeds last summer with a degree in both English and Philosophy, Mr. Sparrow is a great writer with his own unique style of capturing all the humour, intensity, and genius that surrounds the game we all know and love. Oliver, or Oli, will provide an Englishman’s lens of the World Cup, while also touching on the international aspects. He will also bring us a bit of perspective on the Premier League and English football as a whole.

We’re thrilled to have added Dylan and Oliver to our squad of Galacticos, and they cannot wait to share their footballing knowledge with the AFR community! Give these two lads a proper footballing welcome!
