De Rossi rubbishes Arsenal transfer

Daniele De Rossi has dispelled rumours that the he will leave Roma for Arsenal. This week many had speculated that Arsene Wenger was preparing a bid-money move for the Italian international. De Rossi asserted that he has no desire to make a move to the Gunners. “Arsenal? I have never heard anything…Roma have declared me untransferable, I want to stay only here…Things would change if they wanted to offload me but they have always wanted me,” he said.
The midfielder added, “I was on holiday, I read certain figures and even I didn’t know if it could be true, I told myself maybe this time they will really sell me…but the club always came out and declared that I was not for sale and that really pleased me. It’s the only thing I want.”
De Rossi has been at AS Roma since 2000 after joining the youth academy. He has made 187 apparence for Roma, scoring twenty times.
