Stoke x Manchester United: wary Fergie gets duo ba
A big game is expected on Saturday against Premier League sensation Stoke City and the invincible leader Manchester United.
The Red Devils are strong as they ever have been in the past few years and have beaten two of their title contenders already (Arsenal and Chelsea) so it won’t be any easy mission for Tony Pulis’side, who is at a comfortable fifth place on the table.
Also, Stoke are in need to considerably improve their game after a humiliating defeat last week at Sunderland, while Sir Alex Ferguson was leading his team to a 3-1 win over Chelsea.
But the veteran manager is wary of playing at the Britannia Stadium, where the Potters only lost one of their last 11 fixtures. However, Manchester United have won all three ties at Stoke since the Potters returned to the Premier League in 2008/2009.
Double boost after Ferdinand and Hernandez recoveries
Fergie had said he wanted to bring experience into the pitch and for that he was counting on a Rio Ferdinand comeback. The 32 year-old defender will hopefully make an appearance after yet another troubled start, but he’s not the only one.
Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez is also set to play after suffering a bump after a brutal tackle from Ashley Cole last week.
