Moyes: "Cahill was the best thing for me at Everto
Everton manager David Moyes is delighted to have Tim Cahill with him at the Toffees and says he Australian is “one of a kind”.
The 31 year-old has made an impact at Goodison Park and has been one of most consistent players in the Premier League since his arrival to Everton seven years ago from Millwall in a £1.5m deal. But Moyes says there is more to Cahill than his performances.
“From day one he has been nothing but magnificent. The way he goes about the job, the way he puts himself over”, he said ahead of the Merseyside derby on Saturday.
“He has been fantastic. He is massive because of his attitude and energy. He beats the drum and he keeps everybody at it.”
Moyes, who has been at Goodison Park since 2001, went further on to say Cahill is “the best that ever happened to me at Everton.”
“He is going to be one of a kind in our time, and by the time his time has come to an end he can have something to show for it, a trophy or something.”
