Mancini – Tévez refusal is past
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has played down the incident in Munich involving himself and Carlos Tévez, who allegedly refused to play. Ahead of City’s trip to Blackburn, Mancini said it’s all in the past.
Questioned by reporters if this week had been his hardest, he answered: “No, no, absolutely no. Why is it difficult? Some situations can happen in football, in your job. It’s important that the past is finished.”
“I don’t have any complications. I am the manager, our focus is regarding the Premier League, the Champions League and the FA Cup. Other things – it’s not my problem.”
Despite the second loss of the season at the hands of Bayern, Mancini still believes in City being one of the strongest contenders for titles.
“We started very well. We can do a fantastic season.”
