A Manchester City needing to get back to winning will host an Everton who has been unbeaten for five matches at the Emirates Stadium.
The Toffees haven’t exactly been tender rivals for the Manchester Blues as they won 10 of the last 14 ties with the Citizens and as they claimed victory in the last four matches. David Moyes’ side has a tougher mission this year, though, since Roberto Mancini’s side is approaching their top form after integrating top class players into the squad like Agüero.
A whole new team for City
Manchester City are expected to change the whole starting XI that played Birmingham in the Carling Cup, despite the promising goal debut by Owen Hargreaves.
However, Mancini has a Champions League tie against Bayern München to consider, so he may rest some players in order to keep them fresh. The only injured are midfielders De Jong and Milner.
David Moyes has better news, since captain Phil Neville will hopefully feature. New recruits Vellios and Drenthe could make their first Premier League start after scoring late goals coming from the bench last week against Wigan.
