Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has warned Premier League clubs that he is expecting his side to enjoy a successful campaign.
The Belgium international feels City are stronger than ever, after the arrivals of Alvaro Negredo, Stevan Jovetic, Fernandinho and Jesus Navas.
"You can see that whoever is responsible for bringing in the players at City did their homework really well," Kompany told The Sun.
"They bring something different to the team and I'm sure they'll have a great season.
"We're only going to improve, especially considering how well, and how quickly, the new signings have settled in."
Manuel Pellegrini's side tart their league season with a home fixture against Newcastle United on Monday 19th August.
