Gervinho relishing dream Serie A move, says agent

Gervinho's agent Pascal Boisseau believes the 26-year-old striker believes his client has what it takes to make a quick impact in Serie A, as he awaits official confirmation over a summer switch to Roma.

The Ivory Coast international arrived in Rome on Sunday night for a medical with the Italian capital giants, after Roma agreed a fee with Arsenal last weekend.

And Boisseau told Calciomercato.com: "Gervinho had been dreaming of Serie A for at least three years. In the summer of 2010, then-Roma director general Daniele Prade wanted him in the Capital, while the club also made a proposal last year.

"His technical characteristics are unique and because of that much appreciated by several Italian directors.

"Rudi Garcia very strongly wanted him. He spoke directly to the player and when I met with the Roma directors it didn't take long to understand this was his big opportunity."

The Serie A side are expected to officially announce the signing of Gervinho in the next 48 hours.
