Dunne - Ireland won't take Estonia lightly

Irish defender Richard Dunne is wary of play-off opponents Estonia, who have reached this stage of a European championship qualification for the first time.

The Estonians were considered the weakest side on today’s draw and have never been a Euros finals but Dunne won’t fall for any beliefs that the two-legged tie might be easy.

“There is a lot of people probably saying that’s the best draw we could have got, but as we have seen in our group Armenia and these countries are all getting better each time they play so we know it’s going to be difficult.”

Dunne believes all the non-seeded teams wanted to play Ireland as the other teams are stronger in theory.

“Everybody in pot 2 was probably saying they wanted to get Ireland. We are not an amazing team that’s going to hammer anybody or miles better than anyone. It’s going to be tough for us and we know the expectation probably is that we are going to qualify. The worst thing we could do is take the game lightly.”
