BREAKING: Lewandowski to Man. United, Smuda confir
Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski is joining Manchester United, Poland boss Franciszek Smuda has confirmed.
The prolific attacker has been linked with a move to Old Trafford and Smuda has revealed on Friday that he will move to England alongside team-mate Shinji Kagawa, officially confirmed as United’s first summer signing.
Lewandowski has been one of Dortmund’s key players - just as the Japanese midfielder - and his goals have led Jürgen Klopp’s men to a double glory in the Bundesliga and to German Cup glory last season.
“‘Lewy’ is going to Manchester United, Kuba also somewhere in England, Piszczek to Real Madrid”, Smuda told Reuters regarding the Polish trio from Borussia Dortmund.
“They have a goal and they want to grow. I base the squad on them.”
Lewandowski, Kuba and Piszczek are vital players to BVB and are also the main stars of the Polish squad ahead of Euro 2012. Poland will play the competition’s opening match with Greece.
