Saunders is O'Driscoll's replacement

A Football Report

Dean Saunders was chosen to take charge of Doncaster as the club sacked former boss Sean O' Driscoll.

The Championship side sits last on the board with one point in seven matches, after avoiding relegation last year for a mere six points.

O' Driscoll and assistant Richard O’Kelly were at the club for five years, but the club officially stated “they felt that action needed to be taken to address the current position”.

The same statement added Dean Saunders is Doncaster’s new manager and that he will be taking charge of the team on their next Championship tie against Crystal Palace.
