McCarthy wants to sign James McFadden

Former Birmingham striker James McFadden has had a successful trial at Wolverhampton and boss Mick McCarthy has made his interest in signing the 28 year-old on a free transfer.

McFadden left the Blues after missing most of the season to a cruciate ligament injury in September.

He has proved being match fit at Molineux and Wolves boss is keen on keeping him in the squad.

“I hope there are some developments with James. He has looked fine. I want to sign him but I don’t know how far we are down that road.”
