The Mail on Sunday has reported that Wayne Rooney is determined to travel to Switzerland to plead his case for a reduction to his sentence, after getting a three-match ban from UEFA, regarding his England red card against Montenegro.
Wayne Rooney has received a red card, during European championship qualifiers match between England and Montenegro, for kicking Miodrag Dzudovic and has received a three-match ban by UEFA.
However, according to The Sunday Mirror, England boss Fabio Capello will be taking the 25-year-old to the Euro 2012 despite the number of matches he gets banned for.
Meanwhile, Manchester United coach, Sir Alex Ferguson has chosen to keep the striker in the bench, at the clash between his team and Liverpool, as he said that Rooney got distraught with UEFA’s three-match ban sentence.
