After Barcelona's goalless draw with Sevilla, at the weekend, they have dropped down to La Liga's third place, since both Real Madrid and Levante won their away matches over Malaga and Villareal, respectively. However, Catalan's defender Dani Alves has stated he is not worried with his team having fallen down behind their biggest rivals in Madrid.

"That’s just a sideshow at this point. They are ahead of us, and of course they will be happy about that. We are behind them now, but there is a long way to go yet and I’m sure that many things will happen," the Brazilian international told the Spanish press.

Furthermore, the 28-year-old denied that Barça's players lost confidence over the weekend's happenings in BBVA league: "Everything is hard and complicated, but there is no way that this will make us doubt ourselves. We are a great team: win, lose or draw. We have shown that over the years and one result won’t change that," he concluded.

Levante won their away game against Villareal (0-3) and are now La Liga's top leaders with 20 points. Real Madrid have also defeated Malaga (0-4) and are second with 19 points, followed by Barcelona with 18 points, in the third position.
