Niang off to Fenerbahce as OM eye Luis Fabiano
Olympique de Marseille confirmed the departure of Mamadou Niang to Fenerbahce for a fee of 8 million euros on Saturday night following the 3-2 loss against Valenciennes. Niang spent five seasons in Marseille scoring 100 goals from 227 appearances and helping the French club to their first Ligue 1 title in almost 20 years. The Senegalese had an amazing season last year finishing the league’s top scorer and it will be worrying for Marseille’s fans to see him leave as the champions are lying dead last in the table after two weeks.
