The highly experienced England goalkeeper David James has joined Championship side Bristol City on a free transfer. The 39 year old received several offers from Premier League clubs but preferred being a starting keeper in the Championship rather than sitting on a bench for a big club. Scottish side Celtic were leading the race for his signature after the departure of Boruc, but David James was not tempted by their proposal.
