We have four years until the next World Cup, and while we certainly plan on covering Brasil 2014, there’s too much football up until that point to ignore. So, instead, we shall embrace. All of it. That’s why we’re so proud to announce Cheeky Chip, a site that will be the epicenter of culture, style, music, humour, good causes, and class that pertains to the beautiful game. And we’ll have a perfect blend of contributors from all over the world, as per usual. You’ll also be able to get to Cheeky Chip via cheekychip.com.

As for all the brilliant perspectives that were shared throughout the 2010 World Cup this summer through World Cup Report? Don’t feel overwhelmed with emotion like good ol’ Mr. America above! You’ll still be able to view them in our archives. So yeah, no need to hold your mate and burst into tears. It’s all good.

So where will all the well-written pieces be? Well, good question. Cheeky Chip won’t be filled with thoughtful, elaborate articles. Rather, we are creating a whole new section of the site, entitled Philosofooty, that will be home to some of the best writing on the beautiful game available. Cheeky Chip is ready to go, but Philosofooty will be launched in just a bit.

We know change is tough to deal with. But trust us when we say that our football coverage is only going to get better, like Diego Forlan’s player rating in FIFA 11. We’re excited, and you should be too.
