LMA Manager of the Year Roy Hodgson was officially unveiled as the new manager of Liverpool FC on July 1st 2010. Taking over from the much revered Rafael Benitez, the former Fulham coach is charged with the task of reclaiming a UEFA Champions’ League spot that the troubled club lost grip of last season. Only the 18th manager in Liverpool’s 118-year history, he takes over at perhaps the most crucial stage in the club’s history.
