Blathering Blatter Remains a Bother
Blathering Blatter Remains a Bother

No comment on refereeing. If there are some further announcements to be made in this area, they will be made and we will let you know. We obviously will not open any debate. This is obviously not the place for this.
That was the vapidly repetitive response of FIFA spokesman Nicolas Maingot to questions about the refereeing decisions made during the matches involving England and Mexico, as well as on the option of video technology being pursued as an option in the sport.
Sepp Blatter dropped a pearl of his unquestionable wisdom in 2008: ‘Let’s leave football with errors’ - something you’d expect from the man who suggested women dress up more suggestively when they play (tighter clothes et al; effectively copying what Sharapova and her fellow girlies do on the tennis courts anyway).
Video technology in football, let alone goal-line technology, is not going to happen while FIFA is under Blatter’s dictatorship. His communist rule of football will continue to ruin the beautiful game with sloppy decisions like these being made regularly.
