One Of Them Had To Go
One Of Them Had To Go

Two of the strongest teams of the tournament clashed last night in front of 84,000 vuvuzelas at Soccer City, Argentina took on Group A runners-up Mexico. Both nations have been impressive throughout the tournament, playing quality football. They are both technically skilled, great passers and collective sides which play a free flowing offensive game. The two passionate sides faced eachother again after colliding in 2006.
It was Argentina’s first real challenge after winning all 3 games in Group B against “weaker sides” and managed to maintain their victorious form by beating their opponents 3-1. However, the result did not reflect the match. Mexico could have won the battle if it wasn’t for their defensive errors and referee influence.
Nonetheless, it was an entertaining and electrifying display of World Cup football. Finally this competition is coming to life!
