AS Roma made their first transfer of the season by signing experienced midfielder Fabio Simplicio. His contract at Palermo expired and decided to join the Serie A runners-up. The Brazilian player saw this move as a step forward in his career and stated on the club website: “It’s a huge leap in my career and I have to thank everyone who believed in me.”
