Which Strikers Will Be On England’s Plane? (Part One)

With the World Cup fast approaching, no one knows for certain who the full England Squad is, or even the starting eleven. The only person you can guarantee who will be on that plane is a certain Mr. W. Rooney, especially after having his best season, despite United’s failings in most competitions. You know for certain that many England fans will have at some point sat around and discussed, argued, debated and tried to guess who Fabio Capello will take with him to South Africa 2010. The two main areas of debate has been who should play in goal and who should accompany Rooney in the striking department.

I believe that Capello will take at least four strikers, if not five, of which we all know Rooney is guaranteed a place. I myself, wouldn’t be able to tell you who I would like the other three to be. At the moment there are a number of players who are in the running and some who are on the fringe, perhaps due to a dip in form or because they have been out injured. Capello has stated time and time again, he will only pick those who are regularly playing, are in form, fit and are 100% injury free.
