The Fight for 4th is Heating Up
The Fight for 4th is Heating Up
By Dominic Vieira
The top three positions of the Premier League table have been taken by Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United. But who cares? What is really interesting to watch is the intensive battle for fourth place!
Tottenham are currently resting in 4th place but Manchester City, Aston Villa and Liverpool are breathing right down their necks. Everton may be further away but they are still a threat and the outsiders. It is a ‘dog eat dog’ challenge and the race will be extremely close with 5 strong teams competing for the final position. Finishing in 4th promises Champions League football next season.
The Current Standings:

The Remaining Matches

Everton and Liverpool have the benefit of playing one less game and already played against Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United. Therefore, they may have a slight advantage over the other teams, but at this stage of the season no game is easy and everybody needs to pick up the points.
Tottenham and Man City have a much tougher fixture list; Spurs have to play the top three in a row and Man City play against rival United, Arsenal and then Aston Villa. Everton will play against the “weaker teams” but their games are not as easy as they seem; West Ham and Wolves are in desperate need to pick up vital points
The race for 4th place will be exhilarating to watch, no team can afford to lose a game and if Everton aim on finishing in that position, they will depend on other matches to go. All 5 teams are worthy to finish in the top four, but to gain that place they will need to work extremely hard. Now is not the time to have players suspended and suffer from injuries.
To conclude, let the best team win!
Who do you think will finish in 4th place?
