Put your tribulations aside as A Football Report welcomes you to enjoy all the joy the beautiful game has to offer. A Football Report is a place where football finds you, but only if you let it. Football is a simple game, and the name “A Football Report” is an homage to that simplicity.

The site was created and is maintained by two brothers, Eric Beard and Jordan Beard, who are both students. A Football Report has also created a unique environment as it has become a second home for some wonderful student-writers who are at universities from all over the world.

Also proving that the simple game universally unites, A Football Report has created partnerships with fellow footy experts with their own sites based throughout Europe, the United States, and parts of Asia. A Football Report has a truly global audience, as our community has readers residing in over 125 countries.

About A Football Report’s Creators

A Football Report was founded in July 2009 due to a set of (somewhat) immaculate and esoteric expressions. A Football Report is maintained by the creators of the site, the Beard brothers, two life-long supporters of the beautiful game. Eric Beard:

Plying his trade on the pitch as a centre-mid who has been known to get quite stuck-in, Eric currently is a student and plays football for his university. After spending a year in Italy training at Ascoli’s youth academy, Eric still is dedicated to the beautiful game, but has decided to focus on his studies (Economics and Philosophy) as well. An maestro of Italian calcio as well a Premier League scholar, Eric often finds himself musing over the drama, the tactics, and the humour of the game. He enjoys providing a lens of philosophical insight whenever possible in football, as well as executing well-timed two-footed tackles.

Jordan Beard:

Fluent in Spanish, Jordan can be found performing rabonas and stepovers throughout the midfield and along the touchline. An avid follower of Spanish and English football, Jordan is a La Liga aficionado who could also tell you where Sheffield Wednesday sit in the Championship table.
