Ah, if we didn’t care for football at all, imagine how that money could be used. Think of all the children that could be fed and educated, or all the mansions that could be purchased by drug lords. But this Premier League-loving world and indeed the free market set up is the reality in which we, as fans, are subject. Only six Premier League teams made a profit in the transfer market, and perhaps most surprising is the fact that Spurs made a £1.5m profit despite spending £55.9m.
