Last night Fabrice Olinga entered the history books, becoming the youngest player to score in Spain. Malaga, a team suffering from a financial hurricane which forced them to sell both Cazorla and Rondon, started their La Liga campaign against the recently promoted Celta de Vigo. At half time the score was 0-0 and manager Pellegrini decided to hand Olinga, who wears the number 45, his debut. The lively Cameroonian striker did not disappoint and struck the only goal of the match in the 84th minute, at the age of 16 years and 98 days. Historic.
Olinga is now the youngest player to score in La Liga, surpassing Bilbao’s Muniain, below are the previous record holders, where neither Raul or Messi feature:
