Will Arsenal regret not signing a new keeper?
So the transfer window has shut and unsurprisingly, Arsenal did not sign a new goalkeeper. Manuel Almunia has come in for a lot of criticism in recent weeks with many Arsenal fans calling for Arsene Wenger to sign a new goalkeeper.
Mark Schwarzer and Shay Given were both strongly linked with a move to the Emirates. However, nothing ever materialised on either front and as a result, Almunia will remain Arsenal’s number one choice keeper.
