Are you the next visionary photographer for football?

A Football Report has teamed up with adidas Football and Dani Alves to search for the best undiscovered (football) photographer on Tumblr. We’re going to be one of the judges in the competition and all you need to do to enter is grab your camera and capture a photo that represents Your Love of the Game and post it on your own Tumblr accompanied with the #adidasphoto tag.

We love photography here at AFR, especially because Tumblr is a place to showcase such creativity. It’s always a pleasure to showcase work from photographers like Ryu Voelkel and Luca Sage, and now we’re looking for someone who aspires to be on their level.

The competition closes on the 17th of December and the winning photographer will be assigned to a 2013 adidas photo shoot with a player and win a DSLR camera to use on set and take home afterwards. We look forward to seeing your photography on the #adidasphoto tag.

Best of Luck,

The AFR Team

Back up your banter with AFR in the Heineken Star Player game, see your club live in the Champions League. Simple.

By Oliver Sparrow, writing from London

I’ve had a chance to play the Heineken Star Player game and although I was pretty abysmal at it, I thought it was a really good laugh. Proving to your mates that you’ve got the best footballing brain whilst watching a live game, instead of just shouting abuse at them down the pub seems more positive all around. Star Player allows you to watch UEFA Champions League matches on television whilst playing it in real-time on a computer, iPhone or iPod touch. How often have you checked your phone or been on the computer whilst watching a game live on TV? At AFR we’re always dual-screening, it just seems to be part of our nature. Well, Star Player takes advantage of that.

We don’t normally do this, but we decided to team up with Heineken on this one to give our awesome readers an exclusive chance to win two tickets to a UEFA Champions League group game of their choice next season.*  To win, all you have to do is enter and come top of our VIP ‘AFR Stars’ league and play the Heineken Star Player game on your iPhone, iPod touch, or on Facebook. Arsenal v. Barcelona - Score Prediction Competition With Pelé Sports

Tuesday evening sees Arsenal travel to the Camp Nou for the return leg of their pulsating Champions League tie, with the Londoners taking a one-goal lead. It’s bound to be a great game with the flair and skill shown on the pitch doubtless matched or even surpassed by the emotion and passion of the crowd. Can Arsenal hold out, or will the Catalan giant’s play them off the park? Only time will tell, but our friends at Pelé Sports are offering AFR readers the chance to win a brilliant Grand Master t-shirt if they can correctly predict the score (after normal time) on Tuesday night.

All you have to do to win the t-shirt is guess the correct score after 90 mins of the Arsenal versus Barcelona game (the score of the actual second leg game at 90 mins, not the overall aggregate score). You can leave your prediction as a comment at the bottom of this post, e-mail it to, tweet the score @afootballreport or leave a comment on the Arsenal v. Barca post on the AFR facebook page. If there is more than one correct answer, the winner will be picked at random.
