If you guys can remember that Japanese game show that had 100 little kids going up against a professional Japanese football club, well, here it is again, but in Basque country. This time, however, the match was not for a game show, but rather for a good cause.
Joseba Etxeberria is already a legend at Athletic Bilbao. So he bid farewell with a match looking forward to the future. After saying goodbye to San Mames in an emotional tribute match in which 200 children participated, his farewell could not be more rewarding, as the “Gallo” left his signature scoring two of the five goals for the Lions. The 5-3 finish was quite the cracker, but these kids will never forget playing with one of their childhood heroes. What a way to go out with a bang. I think Joseba Etxeberria has just hit legendary status…
