In Bordeaux’s 2-1 victory over Olympiakos last night, the young Frenchman Yoann Gourcuff revealed a bit of superhuman precision by scoring an upper-90 goal, and then nearly thrashing that same spot of perfection from an extra 10 yards out within the span of just a few minutes. Because Raymond Domenech is such a good manager (cough cough), he probably has a great reason why Gourcuff still has yet to really break into the France squad. Hopefully this 23-year-old fends off the politics of French football and gets to South Africa.

Also showing off unreal athleticism was Arsenal’s transfer target Maroune Chamakh, who scored the second goal for Bordeaux with an absurd leap over an Olympiakos defender to nod his French side to the Champions League Quarterfinals. Don’t think Andrey Arshavin is capable of doing that to be honest.
