Barcelona Rule Out January Robinho Move

Barcelona have ruled out a possible move for Manchester City’s Robinho during the Janurary transfer window after having a bid rejected.
Barcelona President Joan Laporta told Catalan radio station Rac1, "The conditions that we were prepared to accept for Robinho were not accepted by Manchester City.
“We are very satisfied with the squad that we have,” continued Laporta. “Unless there are any unforeseen last-minute changes we will not be signing anyone in January.”
Pep Guardiola’s side have been interested in signing the Brazilian for several months. The deal seemed likely after Robinho discussed a move to Catalunya in an interview in October. He told Radio Bandeirantes in Brazil, "I’m very happy about the interest that Barcelona have in me, playing in the Nou Camp it is much easier to be the best player in the world than at City.“
The deal fell when representatives from the two clubs met in Abu Dhabi.
In an interview earlier this month, Robinho spoke of his long-term future at Eastlands and denied that he is looking to move away.
"I am very happy here. I think I [will] stay here five years or 10 years, I don’t know,”
“My family is very happy, the fans love me and I love the fans,” added the 25-year-old Brazilian star.
