Harry Redknapp wants to sign Sulley Muntari from Inter Milan, and surprisingly enough, the Tottenham boss is willing to use Jermaine Jenas as bait.

Harry will offer allegedly offer the Scudetto winners £5m in addition to giving away Tottenham’s England international.

Redknapp is of the belief that Muntari would be the catalyst that could realistically turn his team, which is currently sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League, into genuine top-four challengers.

The Tottenham manager signed the Ghanaian midfielder for Portsmouth from a struggling Udinese side for £7.1m in May 2007.

Muntari, who is still only 25, was one of the main reasons that Pompey were able to lift the FA Cup trophy a year later before leaving for Serie A in a £12m switch the following season.

Redknapp said at the time of selling Muntari: “I didn’t want to sell him - he was one of my best young players.”

While Inter Milan manager Jose Mourinho will not want to lose Muntari, the Special One has shown that he is interested in adding Jenas to his squad after failing to sign him in the January transfer window.
