Adebayor scores on Manchester City debut, City go on to beat Blackburn 2-0

It took only three minutes for Emmanuel Adebayor to prove to Manchester City supporters that he is capable of taking his goal-scoring prowess to the Eastlands.
Steven Ireland added the second goal in injury time on a brilliant solo effort, as City comprehensively defeated Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.
Manchester City manager Hughes only named three of his six summer signings (Gareth Barry, Kolo Toure, Emmanuel Adebayor) in his starting line-up, although Carlos Tevez made his debut in the 69th minute.
