Europa League Draw- Teams Learn Their Fate

Aston Villa, Everton, and Fulham, as well as the rest of the clubs in the Europa Leauge learned their fate in the Europa League play-offs.

Everton will face the Czech Republic’s Sigma Olomouc. The Toffees finished 5th in the EPL and reached the FA Cup final last season. They will be at home for the first leg against the Czech side. Sigma Olomouc are a squad that are not to be taken lightly, as they knocked out Aberdeen in the third round of this inaugural competition.

Hearts will face Champions League rejects, Croatian side Dynamo Zagreb. The Croatians were eliminated from the Champions League after losing 3-2 on aggregate to Red Bull Salzburg the the CL third qualifying round.

Fulham will find themselves very content with their match-up, playing Russian Premier Liga side Amkar Perm. Roy Hodgson must think this is a reward for beating Lithuanian side Vetra 6-0 on aggregate in the third qualifying round.

Aston Villa, after finishing sixth in the Premier League last season, will play Austrian side Rapid Wien. The side from Vienna finished 2nd behind Red Bull Salzberg in the Europa League.

Other notable match-ups in the knock-out stage are Hamburg SV - EA Guingamp, Brondby IF - Hertha BSC Berlin, SS Lazio - IF Elfsborg, NAC Breda - Villarreal, and Werder Bremen - FK Aktobe.

The play-off first and second legs will be played on August 20th and 27th.
