Hull to sign Altidore from Villarreal

Premier League side Hull City have beaten out Fulham and Everton in the pursuit to sign 19-year-old American striker Jozy Altidore. Altidore will join Hull on a season-long loan, subject to attaining a work permit.
The 19-year-old Altidore, who helped the US reach the Confederations Cup final, revealed the move on Twitter.
“First match is against Chelsea, subject to a work permit *wink* *wink*,” wrote Altidore. “Thanks for the support and love - keep it coming.”
Last season the Villarreal forward was sent on loan in January to Spanish side Xerez were he never played due to an injury. Altidore found his rise to eminence laying with his national team in this summer’s Confederations Cup, helping the United States to the final before losing to Brazil 3-2.
Everton and Fulham have long watched to the Altidore but Hull City have convinced the teenager to make a move to the KC stadium by promising him regular Premier League football.
Last summer Villarreal paid a fee of £6 million to the New York Red Bulls for the American. Altidore has made six appearances for the Spanish side, scoring once. He has made 16 appearances for the United States scoring seven times.
