Legend Sir Bobby Robson Dies, aged 76

Former England legend Sir Bobby Robson has died after a long battle with cancer.
Robson had a long and storied managerial career at Fulham, Ipswich, PSV Eindhoven, Sporting Lisbon, Porto and Barcelona and Newcastle United.
He played at Fulham and West Brom Albion in the 1950’s and 60’s. He won 20 caps for England, scoring four times.
His cancer was deemed terminal in August 2008, after learning the news he said, “My condition is described as static and has not altered since my last bout of chemotherapy… I am going to die sooner rather than later. But then everyone has to go sometime and I have enjoyed every minute.“
Robson managed England from 1982-1990 at the end of which he was awarded a CBE. Twelve years later in 2002 he was knighted and in 2003 he was inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame.
In 2007 Robson was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the BBC for “his contribution as both player and manager in a career spanning more than half a century.”
