Terry Commits Future to Chelsea

Amid speculation that the Chelsea skipper would be the next world-class player to submit to Manchester City’s exorbitant amount of money, John Terry has stood by the Blues and has committed his future to the club.

Chelsea always insisted they would not sell their England international, City were considering making a bid of up to £40m for the 28-year-old.

Terry has said: “I am totally committed to Chelsea, always have been. Me leaving was never a possibility.”

“When you are linked with any club, or with a manager who I have huge respect for, it will always make headlines. But Chelsea have made it clear to me consistently that there was never any intention to accept any kind of offer,” Terry stated on Chelseafc.com.

“I am as committed as ever to helping drive Chelsea forward and I will be proud to lead the team for as long as I can,” said the defender who has now been with the club for almost 15 years, since the age of 14.
