Motta Downs Napoli as Leonardo Legacy Begins

A Man of the Match performance from Thiago Motta led Inter to an impressive home win over Napoli. With a new coach, and new shiny Club World Cup winners badge on their shirts, it was also a new attitude from the home team. Leonardo’s Inter were unrecognizable from the unimaginative, uninspired players from Benitez’s era. Their commanding performance was characterized by attacking flair tempered with discipline in defense. Napoli fought to the end, but were overwhelmed by the reinvigorated men in black and blue.
