The world of power playing global politics has been hit by a magnitude 1000 earthquake as the Sweden-based site WikiLeaks released a plethora of secret US Embassy cables. The madness surrounding WikiLeaks’ cablegate has been described as “the 9/11 of world diplomacy” by Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini. Amazingly, here at A Football Report we have gotten our hands feet* on millions of cables ourselves. However, instead of Hillary Clinton telling government officials to spy on members of the United Nations, all of our collected information pertains to the world of football, such as Michael Ballack’s death threats sent to Paul the Octopus. Or even better, the text messages former US President Bill Clinton exchanged with Barack Obama from his Blackberry after drinking Budweisers alone sorrowfully when the United States were knocked out of the World Cup by Ghana. As I mentioned, there are millions of files on tape, but for now we only have the very best available.
