It shouldn’t come as a surprise that one of our super-secret-sources has given us the heads up about some of the features that DIDN’T make it into FIFA ’11. So when you put your brand spanking new copy into your PS3/Xbox today, you can think about what could have been.

Scenario Mode: French Players Slowly Leave Field

Apparently they thought about bringing out the old Scenario mode that is so popular in sports games where you replay past matches and try to duplicate the great moments. However, they planned an interesting twist. One of the options was going to be to replay the 2010 World Cup as France. However, as the tournament progressed, players would walk off the pitch, and their aggression and motivation ratings would decline along the way. In the final, you would be left with Djibril Cisse in the field and 5′ 6” Mathieu Valbuena in goal.
